L a u r a
Laura began her photography career in Grand Rapids. While studying at Kendall College of Art + Design in 2006, she was given her first career opportunity by a local wedding photographer, and hasn’t looked back. In 2008, Laura moved to Southeast Michigan, and has partnered with several photographers between Ann Arbor and Detroit in the time since.
Laura believes it is important to allow moments and interactions to unfold naturally for the best images possible. Using a subtle approach and unique perspective to document these special moments and environments, she enjoys capturing the details of each couples’ celebration of love in a way that really tells the story of their day.
Laura loves to experiment with photographic and lighting techniques in varied situations. The advent of the Canon 5d Mark II - with its capacity to shoot both photo and video – ignited a strong interest in film projects over the past couple of years.

Samantha was born into and raised by an incredible family. She showed interest in photography at a very early age. Samantha's family encouraged her to investigate this curiosity. When she was only 8 years old, her mom bought her her very first automatic film camera. She remembers how excited she would be to go out and get a roll of film developed. What was more amazing was how much joy she got from the images that turned out good. That's where it started. In the years since, she has gone from film SLR's and darkrooms, to digital SLRs and Photoshop. Samantha studied at Lansing Community College and the College for Creative Studies. She plans to always continue this education.
"I think you have to keep a fresh eye when working with photography. I still to this day feel that same rush of excitement when I know I just got an amazing shot!"
